About Me
My name is Donna Ambrose, I am a Bold, Open, Passionate Leader. I have been a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for 20+ years. Being traditionally trained in this ancient art of healing means that I incorporate Chinese Herbal Medicine, Lifestyle & Energy Therapies, Qi movements, Energetic Food Therapy and obviously Acupuncture.
Over the years my go-to place when I am feeling happy, sad or indifferent is to care for someone or simply give someone a treatment, it energizes me as much as it does them. I have taught my clients how to optimize their health and how to selfcare, through the various modalities and how to find balance in their day to day lives.
I have been more than privileged to have lived on and travel to, several continents. I also worked on Luxury cruise ships, lecturing and treating clients about the basics of how the body works on an energetic level and how to create their own wellness from a position of knowing that the body was designed to heal itself when given the right environment and how they, themselves can create that RIGHT environment.
While on the topic of lecturing and teaching, I have done so at one of Ontario’s avant-garde TCM Colleges as well as being a clinical supervisor to graduating students. I owned and operated an Award-Winning Clinic in downtown Toronto.
I will consider myself a serial learner, taking a course or two every few months; either on self-mastery, leadership, emotional intelligence, business and the list goes on. In the process, I have also become a Belief Clearing Coach.
My hobbies are endless, but clearly involves cooking everything from scratch, canning, gardening, walking bare feet on soil as often as possible and soaking up the revitalizing minerals in the ocean. I dabble with writing here and there and am a contributing author to a book on prayers. When I am not busy with my own spiritual practices, self-healing and explorations, I am coaching and creating programs for exhausted burnt out professional, especially healthcare professionals.
Healthcare professionals are my soft spot as we are in the business of caring for others with such ferocity and most times it is at the expense of our own health. Not only am i the recipient of this self-neglect, i am very painfully familiar with every aspect of it, to the point of the ultimate burn out in the form of my immune system saying, "this far and no more"...I had to stop Re-evaluate, Re-fuel ...and Re-connect and thus...Re-Ignite was born. It is a journey into self-care from the standpoint of truly listening to the Body, Mind & Spirit, like asking the really hard questions, like "what do I want? , no what do you really want? , seriously what do I really, really, really want? "
and part of that answer is...
creating amazing, refreshing retreats in hidden, quiet, serene places for the weary of soul, exhausted and the burnt-out healthcare worker. As well as to teach them how to re-ignite their health and life. My passion project at the moment is on mental health(the new pandemic), on erasing the stigma while empowering others to reclaim their spirit on their journey to mental wellness because
WELLNESS MATTERS.
